Rocky Shanower is the founder and co-owner of Park Street Pizza. Rocky grew up in Sugarcreek, Ohio and has been working in restaurants since he was 16 years old. While in college, Rocky got the opportunity to purchase an out of business pizzeria in his hometown at the age of 22. Rocky is married to Courtney Shanower, his business partner and the creative director of their company. His passions include fostering collaboration with other businesses and individuals, identifying new opportunities, and investing in the future generation of their team. In 2014, the Shanowers launched their second pizza concept named Bahler Street after the street the couple lived on when they got married. Bahler Street is a wood-fired sourdough pizza concept that got it’s start at a local farmers market. Since then, Bahler Street has grown up and moved to Austin, TX and is still under the creative guidance and partnership of the Shanowers. In 2020 Rocky was named Young Entrepeneur of the Year by Pizza Today. Rocky speaks annually at the International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas teaching other operators some of the lessons from his career in the hospitality and pizza industry.
