Sammy Mandell opened Greenville Avenue Pizza Company (GAPCo) in 2007 in Dallas, Texas. Along with his team of Pizza Slayers, he has grown the business into a recognized and loved brand locally as well as nationally. GAPCo now has three locations: One on Lowest Greenville Avenue, the second in East Dallas where Sammy and his wife Molly both grew up and the third in Richardson, which is his largest location and includes full service and a bar.
Over the years GAPCo has been on Pizza Today’s Hot 100 Independents list multiple times and honored as one of INC 5000’s Fastest Growing Businesses. Sammy was Pizza Today’s first Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2018 and with that, received a scholarship to Tony Gemignani’s International School of Pizza where he became a certified Pizzaiolo. Sammy has been an attendee at Pizza Expo for over 8 years, has given a keynote speech and teaches classes alongside his team. He has now also received the great honor of being a member of the Pizza World Champions.
At home Sammy is the President of the Lowest Greenville Collective- the local business association, he enjoys serving in the nursery at his church, White Rock Fellowship and his favorite GAPCo event is Slices for Supplies- a way to give back to local schools which he has hosted for 8 years in a row. Sammy’s passions include creating jobs, bettering the lives of his employees, being with friends and family and slaying pizza! He lives in East Dallas with his wife Molly and their beautiful daughter, Ginny.
