Scott and his family reside in the famous town of Punxsutawney, PA. Scott has done his part to bring recognition to the town. He is recognized by the pizza industry as an Operator Expert and a marketing guru. After college, Scott embraced self-employment, operating his own janitorial service. Scott’s inherent love of pizza led him to the pizza business in 1994. He was certified by the International School of Pizza in 2009. His love for helping others led him to consulting others in the business. He released his book, ‘Profits in the Pie’ in 2011 and has served on the NRA’s Pizzeria Industry Council since its inception in 2012.
Today he operates an award winning independent pizzeria, Punxsy Pizza. Punxsy Pizza is a 4x recipient of the PRLA’s Restaurant Neighbor award. Scott is a contributor for Pizza Today magazine and part of the International Pizza Expo family of speakers since 2005 He also does private consultation for operators around the country & has been part of the team at PerfectingPizza.com since 2020. When he is not working, Scott enjoys traveling and gardening. He is also active in his community and church, being named Punxsutawney’s ‘Man of the Year’ in 2012. Whether secularly or personally, Scott takes pleasure in the joy of giving. In 2023, Punxsy PIzza was nationally acknowledged for there community involvement as they received a PIE (Pizza Industry Excellence) Award. In 2015 Scott became a member of the World Pizza Champions. He served as treasurer of the team from 2018-2024.
