I got my first job in pizza at age 15 to earn some extra spending cash and have worked in pizza ever since. After leaving high school, I lived all over the state of California trying to find my path, always finding myself working at another pizzeria. When I was 23, I moved back home and saw that a Pizza My Heart was opening in the area. It was the pizza I grew up on and had a cult following, so I was excited to see if I could get a job with them. I instantly fell in love with the company and the people. Their passion for pizza and service was infectious and I quickly realized I had found my path.

I started as a delivery driver and worked my way up the ranks working in every facet of the restaurant. Once I became a general manager, I was invited to the International Pizza Expo where I was exposed to the World Pizza Games for the first time. I was instantly obsessed. I bought a few practice doughs, went home, and proceeded to practice for hours everyday over the next few months. I did well in the competitions and it only continued to nurture my love for all things pizza. Almost two decades later I still get enjoyment and satisfaction from the job everyday.
