Shneider
Thomas Schneider also known as Tommy, began his pizza making career at age 15 working at Doughboys Pizza on Pembina Highway in Winnipeg. It was from there his love for pizza grew and he started looking at possible franchises to gain some business experience. At age 19 Thomas moved to a small town outside of the Dallas–Fort Worth area and opened his first franchise. A year later he opened a second location. “My dream was always to open up my own pizza restaurant one day and I thought this would be a great place to gain some business experience”
And gain experience he sure did! From attending Tony Gemignani’s International School of Pizza in San Francisco, to being named Best Pizza Maker in Canada at the Pizza World Championships in Parma, Italy and joining the World Pizza Champions Team, Tommy quickly became obsessed with learning about all the different styles of pizza and the industry that embedded them.
In 2015 Tommy sold both locations in Texas and moved back to Winnipeg to work with his friend Matthew Tallman of Trans Canada Brewing Company where they opened Timmy Tom’s Pizzeria inside of the brewery.
From there, Tommy continued to learn and establish his brand and was presented with the opportunity to open his family’s own location in which we reside today known as Tommy’s Pizzeria.
